Seborrheic Keratosis | Things To Avoid

Seborrheic keratosis closely resembles actinic keratosis, only this time, it has waxy or greasy characteristics. This commonly appears when someone is old, and they also look like warts. But this is not always the situation. Heredity is another factor to be looked into considered this.   Keratinocytes are the origin of these growths. Since it is noncancerous, it is nothing to be too worried about. Its only downside is its ugly appearance. You should not mistake this type of keratosis for warts because they have no viral nature.

It persists on sun exposed parts of the skin such as the neck, arms and legs so it is perceived that the sun could be a factor on having seborrheic keratosis. Losing your coolness is probable if it appears on obvious parts of the skin.

Types of Pigmentation – Port wine stain

Port-wine stain is the kind of pigmentation defect in which some reddish-purple discolourations appear on the skin as a result of some swollen red blood vessels in the body. It is believed that this type of pigmentation occurs in about 3-4 out of every 1,000 people, and it may be a sign of some other forms of diseases such as the “Sturge-Weber syndrome”.  At their onset, port-wine stains often appear as flat and pink pigmentation stains on the skin, however as the child grows, the colour of the stains will gradually turn to dark red or purple. Hyperkeratosis – Inherited Hyperkeratosis

Inherited keratosis can be described as a genetically triggered keratosis infection which brings some form of deformity to the skin.
